Field of Awareness; Auras and Christ-Consciousness

I've always been significantly interested in magic and metaphysics. I've posted about what Authentic Magic is on this blog before, but after a recent trip on psychedelics with my primary, I found a phrase that helped even myself understand magic just a little better: My sensory experience has an atmosphere.
This is something I believe can be made true of anyone, and I should be clear and say that this isn't necessarily always true of myself. Whether or not I can sense the atmosphere of my being depends largely on how in tune with myself I am on any given day. Just in the same sense that the human state of consciousness is ever changing, between being alert or tired, happy or sad, sober or intoxicated, the extent of ones sensory atmosphere changes, and it's comparable to the atmosphere of the Earth: if the bit of atmosphere surrounding you is still, if there's no wind, odds are, if you make note of the weather at all it might simply be a comment of how nice it is outside. Otherwise, for all intents and purposes, you can't feel the air. That pressure on your skin, in your lungs, is granted for your existence. Most of us are born into still air inside a room. On the other hand, if you can feel the air around you, it would typically be because it is moving, or else you are moving through it.
Our human bodies are very rarely ever completely still, with the exception of a dead corpse, and even then, the eternal exhale of decomposition would have taken hold and your now dead body is being moved by other forces than your deceased self. This movement is something I consider to be the same thing as light, as matter, as life and consciousness itself. Movement (and friction) between two humans is what conceives us, and one of the very first things a doctor will check for to measure the well being of a yet unborn human is the sound of the movement of a heart. From before we are even born, we are ever moving, hearts beating, lungs breathing, muscles contracting and relaxing, and we locomote as soon as we figure out how to manipulate our bodies in a way that allows us to move through the world.
It is a unique ability that humans have to perceive movement around us. In the days before agriculture began to be cultivated, hunter gatherer communities had certain members who were more able than others to perceive the movement of prey, whether it be by proximity and the senses, or by the traces left by the movement of a particular animal, and especially the combination of the above. Gatherers were acutely aware of the particular kinds of movements made by plants with fruit on them--and mind you, the kind of movement light makes when it's reflected from a certain pigment or texture is prevalent when seeking food; this is how we perceive color.
Jump forward to modern times, and consider the most universal game children play: Hide and Seek. The purpose of games in society is to serve the competitive nature in us all, as well as to practice our skills and abilities in a way that enables us to be more adept at those skills in the future. Of course, entertainment value does play a part, but even the first games we play with our children are designed to teach them, and the first Olympic games ever held were designed to create a space where nations could participate in a healthy competition with their fellow Earthlings. In the game of hide and seek, a classic prey/hunter scheme, one conceals oneself as best as one is able, and if you're really good at hide and seek, you know that the best way to ensure you won't be found is to remain not only out of sight, but also as perfectly still as possible, sometimes even to the extent of holding one's breath. Likewise, when a deer crosses a road and is suddenly bombarded with very bright lights, in the moments of their immediate reaction, they become very still. This is probably a result of the evolutionary function of avoiding being seen to therefore avoid being eaten.
Movement and vibration are omnipresent as they are the mode by which existence is in the universe. I've posted before about my perception of what Autism is, but to reiterate, I believe Autism is the appearance of human evolution, and while evolution does often cause way for higher levels of complexity, human evolution specifically causes way for higher levels of sensitivity. What an individual is sensitive to varies person to person, but I find it true to say that in general, people are becoming more sensitive over time. One might argue that this is a weakness, such as in my personal experience, having sensitive skin causes it to burn more quickly when left in the sun, and to become red and irritated from simply scratching an itch, and this redness can occasionally swell depending on how rough a material may have been when it rubbed up against me at whatever pressure. Beyond that, if you have allergies, you know that being sensitive to dust, pollen, mold, whathaveyou, can be a major nuisance, and can even inhibit your ability to live the life you want to and are normally able to.
However, the kinds of people that we seek when we are in need of healing are those who are more sensitive to whatever ailment we may be suffering, or else to the symptoms of those ailments. My massage therapist is sensitive to the density and stiffness of my muscles, a doctor is sensitive to the anomalies in an x-ray image, a counselor is sensitive to the emotions of their clients. I believe that if you are in a position to be able to help yourself, you're doing okay, and for many in today's world, "okay," is pretty good. I myself would ideally like to learn how to perform magic, and magicians (for lack of a better term) are also often healers and guides. Palmists and psychics use the qualities and conditions of a client to help guide them by giving insight into their future. There are holistic life coaches, crystal healers, shamans and my very favorite example of a healer is Jesus.
Now, speaking of Christ, the means by which a Christian would tell you that Jesus heals is through the Atonement. I was raised Mormon and so far still have only a child's version of what the Atonement is and how it works, but if anyone is less familiar than I am, the Atonement is the process Jesus suffered so that his followers and disciples would be able to repent of their sins. The Abrahamic God sent down His son to bear the weight of all the suffering every human would ever endure so that when the time came for a human subject to ask for forgiveness for their sins, the "price" of these sins would have already been paid for by Jesus, who supposedly suffered for that very purpose. I personally am not entirely sold on the function of the Atonement, but one of the qualities I've held onto through my life as an ex-Mormon is that I would like to be Christ-like.
The driving reason for this desire of mine is the allegations of Jesus having performed miracles, such as changing water to wine, and walking on the surface of the sea. I sincerely believe in Authentic Magic, and while it's been stigmatized, I believe that the anatomy of a magical being is in us all, and it's the collective organism of a human body. I understand that humans' anatomy has probably changed some, possibly a great deal, over the past two thousand years, but the fundamental pieces are still there, and the gall bladder can be my testament to that, as a vestigial organ.
The presence of a human is inevitably larger than the physical body of the person itself and this is apparent in pheromones, the smells we emit, in our breath and the intricate connection between the body of air we reside in and the air we call our own because it is inside our lungs, as well as in any sounds a person might be making, whether you use your voice, clap your hands together, or if you are in a room quiet enough to be able to hear your heartbeat. Every individual is larger than they appear, because the light-reflecting aspect of our "selves" is only one third of what a living human really is.
Whether or not you believe in auras, science has made records of a bio-electric field surrounding the human body. This field is claimed to be visible by those who make their money from viewing and reading auras, and can be influenced by very strong magnets. If you look into it, you'll find that dogs typically face north when moving their bowels for reasons beyond my understanding other than the fact that dogs are sensitive to electromagnetic fields. Cows are the same way, most members of a herd will generally face north-south, and in the case of both these creatures, this north-south alignment is interrupted by phone wires. These are both mammals not terribly unlike our selves. When birds migrate, in most cases this sense of direction can be attributed to an organ in their bodies that functions something like a cross between the human inner cochlea and a compass. I don't think it's all that far-off to say that humans could be perceptive of more than just light, sound vibration, taste and smell, and physical movement.
So here's my case: I believe that if you can train your senses and your consciousness to become more aware of the atmosphere of your sensory experience, you can bring yourself one full step closer to mastering Authentic Magic. This is the kind of magic that primarily influences those who are sensitive enough to be affected by it, for example dogs, plants, and most especially, other humans.
Take Avatar the Last Airbender as an example. Each bender in this TV series performs a very similar kind of magic where a certain element is influenced, but it is never directly influenced by physical manipulation. A bender may move their physical body to encourage the magic to flow, but the interaction between a bender and their elemental affinity is entirely non-physical, as is apparent in the space depicted between a benders hands and the event horizon of the influence.
So much like the space between any two humans, there is often a gap between our "selves" and our influence on our environment, especially the human quality of our environments. We influence each other all the time by speaking and acting and being observed, but that gap can be closed by using physical touch and less to communicate, and to heal our selves and each other.
